Industrial fans are by their very nature, heavy, voluminous and largely made of steel. This means that shipping costs, either to the OEMs, such as oven manufacturers, who will fit them to their machines or to end users like the steel industry, can add enormously to the quoted cost. Additionally, shipping globally can add substantially to the price because of international tariff barriers. Fans shipped into the USA for example, attract a 27% tariff. US built fans avoid this penalty completely.

With manufacturing plants on three continents (UK, China and the USA), Halifax Fan is able to avoid substantial tariff penalties by manufacturing locally to their OEM and end-user customers.

Our teams can have engineering discussions regarding custom designed fans in one country whist manufacturing to local specifications and standards in another remote to the customers site meaning that each fan exactly meets the client’s needs, be it that they are built to metric or imperial measurements to interface easily with the client’s equipment.

This in itself means Halifax Fans are that much simpler to design-in or to replace an ageing fan of other’s manufacture.

Each local factory also carries out full run tests on their fans prior to despatch, enabling witness testing close to hand while installation and commissioning teams are available locally in the local language to finish the job.

Superior after care is also facilitated with spares availability simplified and speeded up as there are no shipping and customs delays in the event of a breakdown, minimising downtime and production losses.
